The Tigerpyge angelfish is an extremely colourful and highly sought after dwarf angelfish. This naturally occurring hybrid is infrequently found in the wild, which makes it uncommon in the aquarium trade. This species is “reef safe with caution” and may pick at corals similar to other dwarf angelfish species like LPS, some soft corals, and clams.
The Tigerpyge Angelfish requires at least a 250 litre aquarium with lots of hiding places and live rock for grazing. The Tigerpyge Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals and clam mantles. If the Tigerpyge Angelfish is to be added to a peaceful community, it should be the last fish introduced.
The diet of the Tigerpyge Angelfish should consist of Spirulina, marine algae, high quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other high-quality meaty items.
