The Gold Stripe Butterflyfish has an oval shape body with an orange stripe covering it’s face.
It is best housed in large, peaceful community aquariums with large amounts of live rock. It should be not be kept with other Butterflyfish. It should not be housed in a reef aquarium since it tends to eat most invertebrates and nip at corals.
The Gold Stripe Butterflyfish is a fairly difficult fish to feed; it is a shy and deliberate feeder that may need a variety of foods offered to it in order to start feeding. Feed a variety of frozen and live foods including; mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, frozen whole cockle and seaweed based foods.
