The Threadfin Butterflyfish is primarily white with diagonal stripes forming chevron-like markings. It has a black eye band, and the dorsal, caudal, and anal fins are yellow.
The Threadfin Butterflyfish should be kept in a 250 litre or larger aquarium and may be kept with most other butterflyfish, holding its own against more aggressive tank mates.
The Threadfin Butterflyfish is not reef safe. It feeds on algae, anemones, and coral polyps in the wild, and will accept most meaty preparations and graze on filamentous algae.
