The colour of the Yellow Spotted Scorpionfish is red with yellow spots and highlights.
A 100 litre or larger aquarium with live rock is suitable for this fish. It uses the live rock for hiding as well as for perching while looking for food. Tank mates should be passive fish including other Leaf Fish. It has poison glands attached to the dorsal, anal, and pelvic spines.
When first introduced into the aquarium, live feeder shrimp should be used to entice this fish to eat. The Yellow Spotted Scorpionfish diet consists of live foods such as feeder fish or small shrimp.
